How to Connect Stripe to Dashello

Stripe payment dashboard

Stripe processes billions in payments every year. With the Dashello Stripe integration, you can track every payment, subscription, invoice, and charge in real-time - all from your business dashboard. This guide walks you through setting up the Stripe webhook so payment data flows into Dashello automatically.

What You'll Need

What Is Stripe?

Stripe is an online payment processing platform used by millions of businesses to accept payments, manage subscriptions, handle invoicing, and track revenue. Stripe handles everything from one-time credit card transactions to complex recurring billing.

Why Connect Stripe to Dashello?

Your Stripe dashboard shows individual transactions. Dashello shows you the big picture. By connecting Stripe to your Dashello dashboard, you can track revenue, monitor failed payments, watch subscription churn, and see every charge alongside your other business metrics - all in one place.

How to Set Up the Stripe Integration

1
Create a source connector in Dashello

Log into Dashello at app.dashello.co. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Add New App. Select Stripe from the list. Give your connector a name like "Stripe Account" and save. Dashello generates a unique connector ID you'll use in the webhook URL.

2
Copy your connector ID

From your connector settings page in Dashello, copy the connector ID. You'll paste it into your Stripe webhook URL. The URL format is: https://dashello.co/api/webhook/stripe?connector_id=your_id. Keep this URL handy - you'll paste it into Stripe next.

3
Map your Stripe fields to Dashello metrics

In the connector settings, tell Dashello which Stripe fields should update which metric boxes. For example, map Stripe invoice.total → Monthly Revenue and Stripe charge.amount → Daily Charges. You can map multiple fields to different metric boxes. Data that doesn't match a mapping will go to your inbox for manual assignment.

4
Set up the webhook in Stripe

Go to your Stripe Dashboard → Developers → Webhooks. Click Add endpoint and paste your Dashello webhook URL:

https://dashello.co/api/webhook/stripe?connector_id=your_connector_id

Under Events to send, select the events you want to track. At minimum, select invoice.paid, charge.succeeded, invoice.payment_failed, customer.subscription.created, and customer.subscription.deleted. Click Add endpoint to save.

5
Test and verify

Stripe provides a Send test webhook button. Send a test event and check your Dashello dashboard - the data should appear in your mapped metric boxes. If data doesn't appear, check your inbox for unmapped events. Once verified, your Stripe webhook is live and data will flow automatically with every new payment event.

Troubleshooting

Webhook shows "success" but no data in my dashboard

Check your Inbox in Dashello. If the Stripe field doesn't match an existing metric box mapping, data is stored in your inbox. Go to Settings → Integrations → your Stripe connector and update your field mappings.

Getting a 404 error

Verify your connector ID is correct in the webhook URL. You can find it in Dashello Settings → Integrations → your Stripe connector.
